Menora is known for its interwar homes and leafy garden-suburb character. Mountford McCarey Architects retained only the front two rooms of the 1930s house, removing the 1970s addition and creating a new two-storey wing to the north garden. Inspired by Art Deco details yet distinctly modern, the design features brick walls, expansive glazing, and open living spaces that flow to a terrace and pool. Three bedrooms sit above, including a breezy master suite. Seamlessly blending old and new, the house preserves the streetscape while revealing a contemporary, light-filled surprise within.
